Fertility tourism refers to traveling to another country specifically to access fertility treatments or fertility-related services such as egg freezing, IVF, surrogacy etc. People choose to travel for many different reasons including affordability, higher success rates, specialized expertise, legal advantages, shorter waiting times, or simply a more supportive, holistic environment.

  • What causes infertility?

Many things can cause infertility. It can be a problem in the female reproductive system, the male reproductive system, or a mix of both. In addition, lifestyle choices also play an important role. Excessive smoking, alcohol consumption, lack of exercise and high exposure to toxins and air pollution have given rise to infertility alongside underlying medical conditions.

  • What is a fertility doula?

A fertility doula is a trained support professional who helps individuals or couples navigating the journey of trying to conceive. Think of them as a compassionate guide, educator, and emotional anchor throughout the fertility process. They don’t replace doctors or medical specialists, but rather they complement them by offering holistic, personalized, and continuous support.
